Model Description

The later 0-Serie was a working reproduction of the early experimental camera, introduced at Photokina in 2000. It uses 35mm film and a fixed Anastigmat 50mm f/3.5 lens and retains the unusual operating arrangement of the original rather than disguising a modern Leica mechanism inside an old-style body. There is no coupled rangefinder or exposure meter. A second related version followed in connection with the 125th anniversary of Oskar Barnack’s birth. The two recorded variants together account for 5,000 cameras.
